Fourth ship chartered by the UN left Odesa port

On September 22, the fourth ship with Ukrainian agricultural products chartered by the UN under the "grain deal" left the port of Odesa, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine reported.

"The bulk carrier BC VANESSA chartered by the World Food Program (WFP) of the UN left the Odesa port carrying 30 thsd tonnes of wheat", – the message said.

The ship should arrive at one of the ports of Pakistan, where wheat will be unloaded and delivered to the people of Afghanistan, which is currently suffering from a food crisis.

BC VANESSA is one of 7 ships that took out 107.5 thsd tonnes of agricultural products for the countries of Asia and Europe from the ports of Great Odesa on September 22.

"A total of 192 vessels have already departed from Ukrainian ports since the launch of the “grain deal”. In total, 4.38 mln tonnes of agricultural products were exported to the countries of Asia, Europe and Africa", – the ministry added.
