During September 1-21, state-owned rail company Ukrzaliznytsia transported 2.25 mln tonnes of grain for export, or 27.5% of the overall volume transported, Rail.insider reports citing deputy director on commerce of the company Valery Tkachov.
According to Ukrzaliznytsia data, 733.5 thsd tonnes of grain were transferred toward border crossings, another 1.517 mln tonnes were transported to ports. Thus, the transportation of grain in September has already surpassed the full volume of August (2.087 mln tonnes).
Transportation of grain for export may reach 3 mln tonnes by the end of September.
