As of November 17, Ukrainian farmers harvested grains and pulses throughout 9 mln ha or 81% of the planned area. Production volume reached 39.1 mln tonnes with the average yield at 4.24 t/ha, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy informed.
Currently, farmers are harvesting late crops:
- 2.1 mln ha of corn for grain (50%; 12.3 mln tonnes, 5.83 t/ha);
- 115 thsd ha of buckwheat (98%; 156 thsd tonnes, 1.37 t/ha);
- 42.6 thsd ha of millet (95%; 98 thsd tonnes, 2.31 t/ha).
Moreover, farmers harvested 4.5 mln ha of sunflower seed area (96%). Production volume reached 9.8 mln tonnes with the yield of 2.17 t/ha. Agrarians reaped 1.5 mln ha of soybean. Production volume reached 3.6 mln tonnes of with the yield of 2.4 t/ha.
Farmers harvested 7.9 mln tonnes of sugar beet with the yield of 49.4 t/ha reaped from 161 thsd ha (90%).
