In October 2022, Kazakhstan exported 102 thsd tonnes of barley, up by 5.1 times y/y, the Kazakh Grain Union reported with reference to the data of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
However, the export decreased from 122 thsd tonnes in September.
Last season, the export of Kazakh barley was the lowest for several years. In October 2021, Kazakhstan shipped only 20 thsd tonnes of barley, in September 2021 – 31 thsd tonnes.
APK-Inform earlier reported that the export potential of Kazakh barley remains low and may amount to 800 thsd tonnes in 2022/23 MY.
