Since the beginning of 2023, 8 vessels carrying 194.4 thsd tonnes of agricultural products departed from Ukrainian ports through the "grain corridor" to African countries, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine reports.

"In particular, a few days ago, the fourth vessel under Grain from Ukraine initiative left the port of Chornomorsk. AMIRA HANA will deliver 30 thsd tonnes of wheat to the port of Djibouti, and from there Ukrainian grain will be transported to Ethiopia. In general, Ukraine has already delivered 238.3 thsd tonnes of wheat to Ethiopia, which is on the verge of starvation", – the ministry said.

Over the past seven days, Ukraine has shipped 871 thsd tonnes of agricultural products under the "grain corridor", including 387 thsd tonnes of corn and 287 thsd tonnes of wheat.

"Unfortunately, the daily number of ships leaving Ukrainian ports has not increased over the past week. The lowest indicator for all almost 6 months of operation of the corridor is still observed – 2-3 vessels per day. The artificial obstruction of the work of the "grain initiative" by Russian inspectors is the main reason”, – they emphasized.
