In 2023, Ukraine plans to harvest 45 mln tonnes of grain and pulses, stated Denys Shmyhal, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, in his introductory speech at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on March 24.

"The second planting campaign is underway in Ukraine under martial law. We help our farmers to successfully conduct it again. According to preliminary estimates, we expect to harvest 45 mln tonnes of grains and pulses," he said.

At the same time, D. Shmyhal stated that about 16.6 mln tonnes of the forecast volume should be wheat.

"The domestic consumption of grain is about 5 mln tonnes. This means that, like last year, Ukraine will be fully supplied with grain and food," D. Shmyhal stressed.
