The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and the State Production and Consumer Service of Ukraine, together with specialists of the Swiss-Ukrainian QFTP program, developed a plan for the recovery and development of the organic and dairy sectors, which were significantly affected by the war. The plan was presented to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy on March 28, the ministry's press service reported.

"We agreed on the main areas of joint activity, global goals for the restoration and support of the organic and dairy sectors. Currently, the industry shows negative dynamics due to the war, it will take at least two years to recover. Projects to support organic and dairy production require resources and time," said Taras Vysotskyy, the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

In particular, the plan also includes the improvement of the regulatory and legal framework of Ukraine and bringing it into line with the EU legislation, increasing the trading opportunities of organic products on the domestic and foreign markets, as well as the implementation of product quality control.

The next step of Ukrainian-Swiss cooperation will be the signing of a memorandum. The support program for the organic and dairy sectors is designed for four years.
