Poland plans to introduce restrictions on the flow of Ukrainian grain into the country, stated Mateusz Morawiecki, Polish Prime Minister, РБК-Україна reports with reference to the Polish Wprost.

"We are ready to help, take this grain, and export it to Africa. But we do not agree that this grain should enter our market and destabilize it. I ordered to introduce rules that will limit the influence of Ukrainian grain on Poland," said the Prime Minister.

According to M. Moravetskyi, Poland has already sent a letter to the European Commission with a request to make "radical decisions". At the same time, the country is ready to confront the restriction of Ukrainian exports.

"The crisis is so powerful that today we are also considering the use of those tools for which we do not have the consent of the European Commission. I say it directly. At best, we will be punished later," the head of government noted.

It is also noted that Poland has already implemented tools, including such as duties and quotas, to limit the influence of Ukrainian grain on its own market. Also, the government of the country is preparing to introduce subsidies for farmers in the amount of 100-200 zlotys ($23-46) per ton for the transportation of wheat and corn to Baltic ports.
