During the international conference "VegOil Trade", which will be held on June 8-9 in Rotterdam, an excursion to the largest industrial port in Europe will take place.
The Port of Rotterdam plays a huge role in the development of global agribusiness. Located at the crossroads of trade routes, it is the northern gateway for agricultural products from both the Americas and Asia, and in recent years, the countries of the Black Sea region. It is also a place of redistribution of goods flows to European countries.
The length of the port is more than 40 km, the total area is 12,500 hectares.
There are 6 biodiesel production plants, 5 oil refining plants, as well as 17 oil and fat storage terminals with a total capacity of 1.2 mln tonnes on the territory of the Port of Rotterdam.
The volumes of cargo transshipment through the port of Rotterdam are dynamically increasing. Thus, in the Q1 of 2023, transshipment of bulk cargoes increased by 5.6% year-on-year, reaching 54.3 mln tonnes. The bulk cargo segment demonstrated growth of 0.2% to 17.9 mln tonnes in the first 3 months of the year.
Please note that the number of places on the excursion to the port of Rotterdam is strictly limited, so it will be possible to get on it only by prior appointment. The language of the excursion is English.
