As of May 25, Ukraine planted 5.278 mln ha with grains and pulses, reported the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine.
“Weekly planting progress stood at 585,2 thsd ha,” the ministry reported.
In particular, as of reporting date, it was planted:
- spring wheat – through 261.9 thsd ha;
- spring barley – 763.3 thsd ha;
- peas – 135.6 thsd ha;
- oats – 145.5 thsd ha;
- corn – 3.682 mln ha;
- buckwheat – 83.1 thsd ha;
- millet – 46.1 thsd ha;
- other grains – 161.2 thsd ha.
Also, oilseeds planting is ongoing as well. As of May 25, sunflower seeds planting was conducted on 4.616 mln ha and soybeans – 1.64 mln ha. Sugar beet was planted on 240.9 thsd ha.
