The planting campaign in Ukraine is completed – this year there were planted 12.75 mln ha with grains, pulses, and oilseeds as well as 213 thsd ha with sugar beet, reported the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine.
In particular, grains and pulses were planted through 5.672 mln ha, which accounts for 104% of the forecasted figure, including:
- spring wheat – 280 thsd ha (98% of the forecast);
- spring barley – 821.9 thsd ha (79%);
- peas – 139.3 thsd ha (116%);
- oats – 150,1 thsd ha (102%);
- corn – 4,044 mln ha (112%);
- buckwheat – 120,7 thsd ha (105%);
- millet – 51,1 thsd ha (85%).
As for the oilseeds, in 2023 sunflowerseeds were planted though 5.308 mln ha (94% of the forecast), and soybeans – 1.78 mln ha (96%).
