Kazakhstan’s wheat stocks 16% lower y-o-y




Grain stocks, and wheat in particular, in Kazakhstan, are lower than last year. As reported by APK-Inform with reference to the data of the Bureau of National Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as of November 1, 2023, 16.85 mln tonnes of grains and pulses were available in Kazakhstan. This is 13% lower than the figure for the same date in 2022 (19.44 mln tonnes).

In particular, at the beginning of November 2023, wheat stocks in Kazakhstan amounted to 13.15 mln tonnes, which is 16% lower y-o-y (15.64 mln tonnes).

Also, as of the reporting date, barley stocks totaled 2.25 mln tonnes, rye – 26 thsd tonnes, oats – 164 thsd tonnes, corn – 442 thsd tonnes, buckwheat – 92 thsd tonnes, millet – 27 thsd tonnes and rice – 377 thsd tonnes.
