All Poland-Ukraine border checkpoints unblocked by protesters

On January 16, the blockade of three checkpoints on the Poland-Ukraine border, which had been in place since November 6, 2023, was ended by Polish protesters, as confirmed by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

Initially, the SBGSU announced the completion of border blocking in front of the Krakivets and Rava-Ruska checkpoints, where at that time almost 700 trucks were waiting to enter Ukraine.

Later, it was reported that the blockade was lifted in front of the Yagodin checkpoint.

"At 8:00 p.m. on January 16, Polish transporters concluded their protest action at the border, according to information from the Border Guard of the Republic of Poland. The registration and passage of cargo vehicles across the border in both directions are now carried out as usual," the SBGSU Facebook page states.

The commitment to cease blocking the designated checkpoints was formalized in an agreement between the carriers and the Ministry of Infrastructure of Poland, signed on January 16. However, as per the protesters, this resolution is deemed temporary and is slated to remain in effect until March 1 of the current year.
