Ukraine and Russia provide nearly 25% of global grain export – APK-Inform

Two Black Sea countries – Ukraine and Russia – provide average 23% of the global grain export annually. Over the last 5 seasons, the annual growth of the export from the region totals average 6%.

“We could emphasize three countries among the main global importers of wheat, in whose import structure the share of Ukrainian and Russian wheat is maximal. Thus, the share of Ukrainian and Russian wheat reached 73% in the total import structure of Egypt, 86% – of Turkey and 66% – of Bangladesh”, - Head of Business project unit of APK-Inform, Andriy Kupchenko explained.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Russia dominated on the markets of Egypt and Turkey, while there is a balance on the market of Bangladesh – both countries supplied 2.2 mln tonnes of wheat in 2019/20 MY.
