On the morning of August 8, the first ship since February 24 left the port of Pivdennyi carrying Ukrainian food. The bulk carrier Sacura is heading to Italy, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine announced on its Facebook page.
The ship joined the caravan with the bulk carrier Arizona, which departed from the port of Chornomorsk to the Netherlands. The ships are carrying 60 thsd tonnes of agricultural products.
"Today, the largest Ukrainian port – Pivdennyi – is fully involved in the Initiative for Ukrainian grain export. Currently, our goal is to increase transshipment in ports. Within two weeks, we plan to reach a transshipment volume of 3-5 vessels per day", – the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov said.
