Russia will export the second largest volume of grain in 2020/21 MY after a record achieved in 2017/18, declared the Head of the analytical center at Rusagrotrans JSC, Igor Pavensky.

“The export of grain will be much higher than in the previous seasons. It will reach almost 51 mln tonnes including pulses and supplies to the EAEU. Russia exported 56.02 mln tonnes in 2017/18 MY”, - the expert said.

He added that the wheat export would be the second largest on record at 39 mln tonnes (including supplies to the EAEU).

“The export of barley will set the new record and will reach 6.44 mln tonnes (including supplies to the EAEU). At the same time, the export of corn will decline by 5.2% year-on-year to 3.85 mln tonnes”, - he said.

Russia will export about 51 mln tonnes of grains including 41 mln tonnes of wheat in 2021/22 MY.

“We expect Russia to harvest 128.6 mln tonnes of grain including 82 mln tonnes of wheat, 19.3 mln tonnes of barley and 14.6 mln tonnes of corn. However, the production of corn could turn to be higher”, - the expert added.
