In 2022, agricultural production decreased by 29.8% in Moldova compared to 2021, the National Bureau of Statistics reported on February 1.
The production of crop growing products decreased by 36.9%, animal husbandry by 2.6%.
Particularly, wheat harvest decreased by 45.6% to 851.1 thsd tonnes, corn for grain by 74.8% to 705 thsd tonnes, pulses by 32.5% to 26.2 thsd tonnes.
Production of sunflower seed decreased by 35.3% to 621.6 thsd tonnes, soybean by 39% to 30.8 thsd tonnes, sugar beet by 49.6% to 382.1 thsd tonnes.
