The Russian government extended the ban on the imports of certain categories of agricultural products, raw materials and food products to the country. The relevant decree No.790 dd. July 4, 2017, was published at the official web-portal for legal information.
The decree was issued in order to implement the Russian President, Vladimir Putin’s executive order from June 30, 2017 “On Extending Certain Special Economic Measures to Ensure the Security of the Russian Federation”.
The signed decree prolonged the ban on the imports of certain agricultural products, raw materials and food to Russia from January 1 until December 31, 2018. The counter-measures were applied against the United States of America, the EU member countries, Canada, Australia, the Kingdom of Norway, Ukraine, the Republic of Albania, Montenegro, the Republic of Iceland and the Principality of Liechtenstein.
