The Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine proposed to set the quantitative restrictions on wheat exports in the season-2019/20 at the level of 20.2 mln tonnes. The Ministry sent the reporting proposal to all signatories of the Memorandum of Understanding with participants of the grain market.
In particular, the proposal points out that the reporting volumes cover the exports of "Wheat and wheat/rye mixture — meslin" (the CN code 1001) without distribution by crop grades.
At the same time, since the beginning of 2019/20 MY and as of March 27, Ukraine already exported 17.73 mln tonnes of wheat. Taking into account the current export rates, Ukraine can ship the proposed volumes of wheat exports until the end of April 2020.
