As of July 2, agrarians of 6 oblasts of Ukraine – Kherson, Odessa, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhia, Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk – started the harvesting campaign of grains and pulses, informed the press-service of the Ministry for Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture on July 3.
“Agrarians harvested grains throughout the areas of 419.4 thsd ha or 2.8% of the plan. The production volumes reached 1.129 mln tonnes of grains”, - was stated in the message.
In particular, agrarians harvested 245 thsd tonnes of wheat throughout 110 thsd ha (1.7%). Also, Ukraine harvested 884 thsd tonnes of barley throughout 289 thsd ha (12.5%), 47 thds tonnes of peas throughout 24 thsd ha (10.3%).
Farmers harvested 129 thsd tonnes of rapeseed throughout the areas of 86 thsd ha.
