Ukraine increased sunflower oil export by 1.7 times in November

According to the monitoring of APK-Inform, in the period of November 1-30, 2020, the export volumes of oilseeds and by-products from the Ukrainian seaports reached 1.75 mln tonnes, up11.9% compared with the previous month volumes (1.56 mln tonnes, taking into account the updated figures).

The shipment volumes of sunflower seed and by-products formed the major share in the structure of supplies and totaled 1.19 mln tonnes, including 820 thsd tonnes of sunflower oil (up 1.7 times), 310 thsd tonnes of sunflower meal (down 20.9%) and 60 thsd tonnes of sunflower seed (down 14.5%).

Export of soybean and by-products totaled 293 thsd tonnes, including 284 thsd tonnes of soybean (down 7.7 times) and 10 thsd tonnes of soybean meal (up 24.5%). There was no export of soybean oil.

Export of rapeseed and by-products reached 263 thsd tonnes, including 253 thsd tonnes of rapeseed (down 11.4%), 7 thsd tonnes of rapeseed meal (up 1.5 times) and 3 thsd tonnes of soybean oil (no export in October).

India (346 thsd tonnes), China (345.1 thsd tonnes) and Turkey (212.7 thsd tonnes) were the main destination for Ukrainian oilseeds and by-products in November.

In 2020/21 MY, the Mykolaiv Sea Commercial Port (2.01 mln tonnes) was the leader in the exports of major grain crops. The Chornomorsk Commercial Sea Port (900 thsd tonnes) and Pivdennyi Sea Port (474 thsd tonnes) took the second and third positions respectively.
