In January-July, the surplus of foreign trade with agricultural products totaled 1.2% in Ukraine. The export of agricultural products increased by 6.7%, while the import grew by 19.4%, informed the press-service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In the structure of foreign trade with agricultural goods, sunflower oil (28.3% of the overall volume), corn (28%) and wheat (10.2%) were the main export products.
Asian countries were the key destinations for Ukrainian agricultural goods. China imported these products at the sum of 2.4 bln USD, India - 947 mln USD. Besides, the Netherlands imported Ukrainian agricultural products at the sum of 908 mln USD, Spain - 538 mln USD.
As to the import of agricultural products to Ukraine, the share of the EU amounted to 48.2% (2.3 bln USD), Asia - 20.1% (843.9 mln USD), North and South Americas - 13.4% (562.6 mln USD).
