According to the Customs Service, Ukraine exported 5.1 mln tonnes of grain in February prior to the start of the war. It is the record monthly volume. The total included 3.8 mln tonnes of corn, 1 mln tonnes of wheat and 153.8 thsd tonnes of barley.
In February, 50% of the total volume of wheat exported was shipped to Egypt, Turkey and Pakistan. China, the EU and Egypt received 74% of the overall volume of corn. Libya, Turkey and Tunisia imported 94% of the barley export volume.
The average price of Ukrainian wheat was 303.7 USD/t in February. After the Russian invasion in Ukraine, the prices of wheat on the global market soared. As of March 2, the nearest CBOT wheat contract reached 388.9 USD/t.
