According to APK-Inform, the offer prices of bottled refined deodorized sunflower oil have been decreasing in Ukraine since the beginning of June.
The downward trend is based on the slowdown of feverish demand and growing number of offers. Ukrainian processors are able to offer large volumes amid lowering of sunflower seed prices and sufficient supply of the oilseed. Additionally, stronger import of Ukrainian sunflower seed resulted in higher production of refined deodorized sunflower oil in some European countries, which was more competitive compared to the Ukrainian product. However, expensive and complicated logistics continue influencing the pricing of Ukrainian sunflower oil.
The offer prices of Ukrainian bottled refined deodorized sunflower oil decreased by 0.1-0.15 USD/l over the reporting period and totaled 1.90-2.10 USD/l FCA as of June 17.
