On the morning of August 1, the first ship carrying Ukrainian grain left the Odesa port since February 24, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov wrote on his Facebook page.

"The vessel RAZONI is headed to the port of Tripoli in Lebanon under the flag of Sierra Leone. It will move along a corridor safety of which has been confirmed by our guarantor partners – the UN and Turkey. It is carrying 26 thsd tonnes of Ukrainian corn", – the minister clarified.

He noted that with this shipment, Ukraine, together with its partners, is taking another step towards preventing world hunger. In addition, the unblocking of the ports will provide at least 1 bln USD for the Ukrainian economy and an opportunity for the agricultural sector to plan next year's planting.

The minister also noted that 16 more ships were waiting to be shipped in the ports of Odesa.

"These are the vessels that have been blocked since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia. We receive applications for the arrival of new vessels for loading agricultural products. In the coming weeks, with the support of our partners, we plan to reach the full capacity of transshipment of agricultural products", – O. Kubrakov.
