Ukraine harvested 19 mln tonnes of wheat

As of September 8, Ukrainian farmers harvested grains and pulses throughout 6.726 mln ha or 60% of the plan. Production volume reached 25.9 mln tonnes with an average yield of 3.84 t/ha, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy informed.

Particularly, they harvested:

  • 4.7 mln ha of wheat (99% of plan), crop reached 19.2 mln tonnes so far with yield of 4.1 t/ha;
  • 1.6 mln ha of barley (100%; 5.5 mln tonnes, 3.47 t/ha);
  • 109.3 thsd ha of peas (98%; 250.2 thsd tonnes, 2.29 t/ha);
  • 3.9 thsd ha of corn (0.1%; 18.4 thsd tonnes, 4.72 t/ha);
  • 21.2 thsd ha of buckwheat (18%; 30.6 thsd tonnes, 1.45 t/ha);
  • 16.5 thsd ha of millet (37%; 42.2 thsd tonnes, 2.56 t/ha).

Moreover, farmers harvested 251.4 thsd ha of sunflower seed area (5%). Production volume reached 392 thsd tonnes with the average yield of 1.56 t/ha. Agrarians reaped 26.8 thsd ha of soybean. Production volume reached 70.9 thsd tonnes of with the yield of 2.65 t/ha.

Production volumes of rapeseed totaled 3.1 mln tonnes with the yield of 2.85 t/ha reaped from 1.096 mln ha.

Farmers started harvesting sugar beet. Production volumes reached so far 42.9 thsd tonnes with the yield of 52.3 t/ha reaped from 820 ha (0.5%).
