Ukraine exported 6.8 mln tonnes of wheat in July-November 2022/23 MY, down 54% y/y, including 3.6 mln tonnes shipped via the “grain corridor”, APK-Inform reports.

Turley was the main importers of Ukrainian wheat over the reporting period. The country bought 1.4 mln tonnes of Ukrainian wheat, up by 12% y/y. Romania took the second place with 1.2 mln tonnes. There were no shipments of Ukrainian what to Romania in July-November 2021/22 MY. Spain (3rd place) imported 808 thsd tonnes, up by almost 10 times y/y.

Egypt and Indonesia, which were the main destinations for Ukrainian wheat last season, moved to 9th and 10th places in the list of the largest importers. Egypt bought 206.3 thsd tonnes (-90%) of Ukrainian wheat, Indonesia – 161.4 thsd tonnes (-94%).

APK-Inform forecasts the export of wheat from Ukraine under optimistic scenario at 13.8 mln tonnes in 2022/23 MY (-27% y/y). Under the pessimistic scenario, the shipments will decrease to 8.1 mln tonnes (-57%).
