Ships resumed moving by “grain corridor”

After a three-day break, the movement of ships with Ukrainian food via the "grain corridor" has been resumed, Інтерфакс-Україна reports with reference to the Joint Coordination Center (JCC).

"On January 12, two ships left Ukrainian ports carrying 56 thsd tonnes of grain and other food under the Black Sea grain initiative", – the JCC said.

Particularly, Lady Litel will deliver 31 thsd tonnes of wheat to Libya, and East Wind I will transport 25 thsd tonnes of barley to Tunisia.

In addition, two vessels that passed through the humanitarian corridor on January 12 are heading to the ports of Ukraine.

"As of January 12, the total tonnage of grain and other agricultural products exported from three Ukrainian ports is slightly more than 17 mln tonnes. In total, during the functioning of the corridor, the movement of 1272 ships was allowed: 637 for arrival at Ukrainian ports and 635 for departure from them", – the JCC said.
