Kazakhstan intends to introduce a ban on the import of wheat from third countries and EAEU countries by rail for a period of six months, as well as to extend the ban on the import of wheat by road for another 6 months. The relevant draft order was developed by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

According to the document, the import of wheat by rail will be allowed only by licensed elevators, grain processors and poultry enterprises.

The document will be under discussion until September 1, 2023.
