The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation does not plan to impose any quotas for grain exports from the country, declared the press-service of the Ministry on February 27.

To date, the Ministry does not see any reasons for adjusting the current forecast of Russian grain exports in 2018/19 MY, and not discuss the possible imposition of any other restrictive measures on the export market. Information from several mass media about the planned imposition of the quotas by the Ministry of Agriculture, fails to comply with the real facts, added the officials.

As a reminder, the forecast of grain exports in the current season (nearly 42 mln tonnes) was formed taking into account the information received from the key companies-exporters.

At the regular meetings with market participants, the Ministry of Agriculture often discusses the issues related to compliance of the forecast, explained the officials.
