On August 29, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appointed Tymofiy Mylovanov as the Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine. Thus, the newly founded Ministry will manage the sphere of the agro-industrial sector of Ukraine. 281 members of parliament voted for adoption of the decision.
It is worth noting that in 2004, T.Mylovanov received his Ph.D. in economics in the University of Wisconsin-Madison. And in the summer of 2015, he became a member of the International Academic Advisory Board of Kyiv School of Economics (KSE), and then — its Honorary President.
In addition, since July 7, 2016, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine elected T.Mylovanov to the Council of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), and since October 2016 he became the Deputy Chairman of the Council of the NBU.
