In January-July of 2019, Kazakhstan exported 3.3 mln tonnes of wheat and meslin at the general sum of 608.4 mln USD. At the same time, the grain exports in physical terms decreased by 4% compared with the same period last year, and in monetary terms — up 15.5%, declared the Statistics Committee at the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In the reporting period, Uzbekistan (1.3 mln tonnes), Tajikistan (578.5 thsd tonnes), China (237.5 thsd tonnes), Azerbaijan (227.9 thsd tonnes) and Turkmenistan (176.3 thsd tonnes) were the major importers of the Kazakh grain.
Also, for 7 months of the current year Turkey (140.9 thsd tonnes), Afghanistan (135 thsd tonnes), Italy (112.8 thsd tonnes) and Russia (103.8 thsd tonnes) imported more than 100 thsd tonnes of Kazakh wheat.
