According to APK-Inform, the indicative export prices of Ukrainian wheat decreased last week, despite tough world balance.

The prices were pressured by the absence of new contracts, as there was no real progress on unblocking of Ukrainian seaports. High freight rates and high risks as well as low export through alternative routes amid overloaded logistics weighted on the prices too. Sharp decline of wheat futures on the world market last week pushed Ukrainian prices down as well. Additionally, the prices were pressured by good and satisfactory condition of plantings, start of harvesting campaign, lower farmers’ offer prices for old-crop wheat amid seasonal factor and the need to empty storages.

The indicative offer prices of old-crop 12.5%, 11.5% and feed wheat decreased by 5-10 USD/t to 410-430, 405-425 and 365-380 USD/t FOB deep-sea ports (June). The indicative offer prices of new-crop 12.5%, 11.5% and feed wheat decreased by 10 USD/t to 410-425, 405-420 and 375-390 USD/t FOB (July-August).
