According to APK-Inform, the importers’ bid prices of corn were developing in different ways at the western Ukrainian borders last week.

Start of corn harvesting, large carry-over stocks and lack of storing capacities pressured the prices. At the same time, stronger export of corn compared other crops, drought in the EU and some concerns about corn quality in Ukraine supported the prices.

The bid prices for delivery in September-October increased to 240-250 EUR/t DAP at Romanian and Hungarian borders. They decreased to 220-235 EUR/t DAP at Polish border. The offer prices of corn for delivery to Poland and Slovakia were announced at 250-265 EUR/t DAP.
