Export of agricultural products from Belarus to China may exceed 200 mln USD in 2020, declared the Head of the Main department of foreign economic activity at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus, Alexei Bogdanov.
“China is a promising market for us. We want to strengthen our positions here and increase supplies to the Chinese market. Since 2016, 98 Belarusian companies have been certified for export to China. We have exported the record volume of products at the sum of 187.2 mln USD in January-September 2020 (up 2.3 times). Shipments of meat have increased by 3.1 times, milk - by 1.8 times, rapeseed oil - by 2.6 times over this period. We have already exceeded the volume exported in 2019. We hope the sum of export to exceed 200 mln USD in 2020”, - he said.
In January-September, Belarus increased export of food products by 6.1% compared to the same period of 2019 to 4.2 bln USD.
The country shipped its products to 105 countries, including 21 new destinations.
