The representatives of Ukraine, Russia, Turkey and the UN, following the negotiations held on May 10-11 in Istanbul, did not reach a final agreement on the extension of the Black Sea Grain Agreement. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Turkey on May 11.

As noted, useful meetings with constructive approaches of the parties took place during two days. Since the signing of the agreement, "positive and constructive progress has been made in the Black Sea Grains Initiative, which has made a significant contribution to the stability of food prices around the world and is of vital importance for global food supply and security."

"The parties have agreed to continue negotiations in Turkey at the technical level in a four-party format in the near future, so that the "grain initiative" continues its effective activities," the message states.

The "grain agreement" expires on May 18.
