Kazakhstan increased barley exports by 70%




During the first half of 2023, Kazakhstan significantly increased grain exports. In particular, according to QazTrade, in January-June this year the export of Kazakh barley in the monetary equivalent has gone up to $120.2 million. This was 70% higher than last year ($70 million).
The share of barley in common export is 7.4%.
The supply of wheat to foreign markets also increased - from $963.4 million to $1.032 billion (+7%). Of the total export of agricultural products, the share of wheat is about 64%.
At the same time, the export value of Kazakh flour amounted to $284.4 million, which is 14.5% lower than last year ($332.6 million).
