Ukraine shipped more than 4 mln tonnes of grain in February




According to the State Customs Service, as of February 23, since the beginning of 2023/24 MY, Ukraine exported 28.15 mln tonnes of grains and pulses. This includes 4.274 mln tonnes shipped since the beginning of the current month, reported the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine.

The seasonal export is still lower y-o-y, when 30.79 mln tonnes were shipped as of February 22, but the rate of export in the current month is higher than last year (3.819 mln tonnes).

In terms of crops, since the beginning of the current season, the following were exported:

- wheat – 11.082 mln tonnes (1.865 mln tonnes in February);

- barley – 1.56 mln tonnes (145 thousand tons);

- rye – 1 thsd tonnes (0);

- corn – 15.236 mln tonnes (2.252 mln tonnes).

The total export of Ukrainian flour as of February 23 is estimated at 72.8 thsd tonnes (6 thsd tonnes in February), which is also lower y-o-y (94.9 thsd tonnes). The main part of the shipped volume is wheat flour – 69.1 thsd tonnes (5.7 thsd tonnes).
