Turkey expects that the next time the agreement on the operation of the "grain corridor" will be extended for a longer period, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu stated at a press conference in Istanbul on February 3.

"We continue to make efforts to extend the grain agreement, which expires in March. We expect that it will be prolonged and this time it will be extended for a longer period", – the minister said.

The Black Sea grain initiative began to function on August 1, 2022. Initially, it operated until November 9, 2022, and then it was extended for another 4 months until March 19, 2023.
