Ukraine exported more than 2 mln tonnes of grain for 15 days of January




According to the State Customs Service, since the beginning of 2023/24 MY, as of January 15, Ukraine exported 20.563 mln tonnes of grains and pulses, of which 2.097 mln tonnes were shipped since the beginning of the current month. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine.

This volume of seasonal export is still lower y-o-y, when 24.472 mln tonnes were shipped as of January 16, 2023, but the result of the first half of January exceeds last year's (1.726 mln tonnes).

In terms of crops, since the beginning of the current season, the following were exported:

- wheat – 8.186 mln tonnes (in January – 562 thsd tonnes);

- barley – 1.215 mln tonnes (141 thsd tonnes);

- rye – 1 thsd tonnes (0);

- corn – 11.014 mln tonnes (1.388 mln tonnes).

The total export of Ukrainian flour as of January 15 is estimated at 61.4 thsd tonnes (2.8 thsd  tonnes in January), which is also lower y-o-y (73.7 thsd tonnes). Wheat flour export totaled 58.4 thsd tonnes (in January – 2.7 thsd tonnes).
